Hello everybody. And thanks for visiting my site. My name is Jari Salminen and I’m a professional drummer based in Helsinki, Finland.

I picked up the sticks at the age of nine and I never looked back. My choice was made. I wanted to be a drummer! 

After graduating from the Pop&Jazz Conservatory of Helsinki in 2004 I have been making a living out of banging the skins. ​I have also studied music at the University Of West London in the UK.

I’ve been very fortunate to perform and record with the biggest acts in Finland. I’ve also toured and recorded internationally with different artists and bands such as JP Cooper, The Fontanas, Joe Layne, Neal Hoffmann, Poets Of The Fall etc.  Currently I’m touring with a Finnish pop star Anna Puu, Ben Granfelt Band and Poets Of The Fall. I’m also doing a lot of recording dates, musicals, functions, corporate events and freelancing.

DRUMS FOR YOUR MUSIC

I have a professional recording facility where I track drums, mix and produce music. My gear includes such industry standards as Focusrite, Midas, Genelec, Sennheiser Shure, AKG, Se Electronics, Yamaha, RME etc.
